According to the Moroccan central bank, the average inflation rate reached 0,7% in 2017, in comparison with 1,6% one year earlier. Its core components, that measure the fundamental tendency of prices, should accelerate from 0,8% to 1,3%. On the mid-term, inflation should stabilize at 1,5% in 2018 and at a level of 1,6% in 2019.
Underlying inflation should follow an upward tendency to reach 1,5% in 2018 and 1,9% in 2019, under the effect of consolidation of internal demand and the increase of imported inflation.
