The unemployment rate remains stable between 2021 and 2022 going from 11.8% to 11.4%, according to the HCP.
This increase, which concerned all categories of the population, is the result of a stagnation at 5.2% in rural areas and going from 16% to 15% in urban areas.
The unemployment rate also fell by 0.9 percentage points among men, from 10.4% to 9.5%, compared to an increase among women, from 16.5% to 17.8%.
The note also points out that the number of unemployed people fell by 70,000 between 2021 and 2022, from 1,447,000 to 1,378,000, which corresponds to a decline of 5%.
