The CPI for December 2019 was flat compared to the previous month; at the end of 2019, the average annual CPI rose by 0.2% and the annual core inflation indicator by 1.0%.

The average annual CPI recorded an increase of 0.2% compared to 2018 at the end of 2019. Consequence of the increase in the non-food products index of 0.9% and the decrease in that of 0.5% food products. The variations recorded for non-food products range from stagnation for “Transport” to an increase of 3.1% for “education”.

On this basis, the core inflation indicator increased by 1.0% in 2019 compared to 2018.
