In a context of crisis, all sectors have been affected by drastic cuts.

With regard to trade in goods, both imports of goods register annual decrease respective decreases of 14.1% and 7.5%. (comparison made in the periods going from January to December 2020 and January to December 2019)

According to the Foreign Exchange Office, Morocco’s trade deficit stood at 138.77 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) at the end of 2020, registering a decrease of 26.2% compared to the end of November 2019.

Exports of goods and services are down 15.9% following a 53.8% drop in travel receipts

The receipts of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) are up by 5%, and the net flows of  EDI which remain stable due to the fall in expenditure of 41.6% greater than that of receipts (-22, 3%).

Exports recorded an increase of 15% higher than that of imports (+ 12.8%).
