In 2019, the labor market situation was marked by the continued decline in activity and employment rates, the unemployment rate increased to 9.4% in the third quarter of 2019 from 9.3 % during the same period a year ago.

Which means 13.1% (12.7% in 2018) in urban areas and 3.9% (4.5% in 2018) in rural areas.

With a 1.5% increase, the volume of employment increased by 165 jobs, resulting from an increase of 250,000 in urban areas and a drop of 85,000 in rural areas, compared with the creation of 111,000 jobs in 2018.
